We apply a common research-evaluation framework to all investment products evaluated. At the heart of our research and evaluation process is an interlocking system of lists of qualified investment products:

Approved List: Identifies investment products that we believe meet acceptable research standards. Investment products under scrutiny have passed a process that examines a variety of factors known to influence investment quality. A final decision is made by a research analyst and an investment officer directed by Chief Research Analyst as to whether or not to include a respective investment product on our Approved List.

Focus List: Identifies investment products from the Approved List and a broad universe of potential investment candidates in which our research analysts have a high level of confidence. Focus List investment products have passed an additional round of review that involves a more intensive, quantitative and qualitative review of the investment manager or product. All products and managers covered by our research team are reviewed periodically to ensure that they continue to meet the quality standards required for their coverage level.
